Will I actually get 80Gbps speeds with this bundle?

Real-world speed depends on the host device. The enclosure and SSD together are capable of up to 80Gbps Thunderbolt 5 bandwidth, but actual transfer speed is limited by your computer's own Thunderbolt/USB4 port, cabling, and system performance. On a Thunderbolt 3 or Thunderbolt 4 host, speeds will be capped at that port's own bandwidth rather than the full 80Gbps.

Does the SSD come pre-installed?

Yes. The Samsung 990 Pro is fitted into the enclosure before dispatch, so the bundle arrives ready to plug in and use.

Do I need an external power adapter?

No. The enclosure is fully bus-powered. The built-in PD pass-through port is optional and simply lets you charge a laptop at up to 60W while transferring data at full speed.

Is this compatible with my Mac or Windows laptop?

Yes. The enclosure works with Thunderbolt 5, Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3 and USB4 hosts, with backward compatibility down to USB 3.2/3.1/3.0, across both macOS and Windows.
